I'm trying to use the com.ice.cvsc package to checkout a module from CVS. I'm
having real difficulties using the package to its full potential at the moment.
I've checked the javadocs and looked at how jCVS does it but still can't get my
code to function properly!!! Does anyone know where I could get some other
(preferably simple) examples from? This is really driving me crazy

Thanks

Here is a code snippet from jcvsweb to checkout a view. I hope there is
something in there what will help you.

You should also look into the JavaScripts provided in com/ice/jcvsii/javascript.

This example work, thank you, but when I try to do the same with an ssh
connection, I have an error :

It seems that my applications doesn't find SshCipherFactory, however, I have
imported the library in my JBuilder Project...

Please refer to the MANIFEST.MF file for jCVS II to be sure you have all the required libraries.

Your code is finding the class SshCipherFactory because that class is the one that is throwing the exception.

Either your JDK is too old (I believe you need 1.4.2 or later), or you are missing a JAR.

I am unable to explain the problem. Clearly the cypher classes are not being loaded or not being found.

I can only suggest that you remove JBuilder from the equation. I have no experience with JBuilder, but I have seen many cases where IDE's make the CLASSPATH a nightmare. Personally, I use vi and ant, if that gives you any idea of my opinion of IDEs. Once you can confirm that you can make the cide work outside of JBuilder (or not), then you can focus on what JBuilder is bringing into the equation.

I also have the same problems. here is my code

to reproduce the problem, it's enough to call

the VERY interesting thing is, that it works, when i execute the jCVSII client (even by executing the main method within my IDE, so I'm very sure, it's no IDE related issue).

i execute the code above from a junit test, so it's not j2ee vm issue.
is there any documentation on the j2ssh library? i cannot find one.

ok, i played around with the j2ssh directly, and i believe, the problem is NOT jcvs related.
for any reason, the following code (written by following the j2ssh getting startet tutorial) produces the same problem

INFO: Failed to load ciphers
java.lang.NullPointerException
at com.sshtools.j2ssh.transport.cipher.SshCipherFactory.<clinit>(Unknown Source)
at com.sshtools.j2ssh.configuration.SshConnectionProperties.<init>(Unknown Source)
at com.sshtools.j2ssh.SshClient.connect(Unknown Source)
at com.sshtools.j2ssh.SshClient.connect(Unknown Source)

here is the code:
