Does anyone have any sample code that does tags and commits
using the classes under com.ice.cvsc?

The jCVS II application has this feature. The majority of the code is in
ProjectFrame, but it is driven by the menu and the "command spec" it defines.

Here is the command spec from defaults, properties:

Assuming that you understand what the specification is.

Basically, you set it up like any other command, say status.

Yep. that finally occurred to me after posted my question. I'll start looking
at the application code for examples.

Thanks for that. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a command spec
for commit (check-in), but I couldn't find sufficient information in the
documentation, or even in the source. I sort of know what some of the codes mean
after browsing the source, but the meaning of some of the properties in the
CVSRequest are still very fuzzy to me. It would be really nice if their purpose
was documented.

Could you give an example of a command spec for doing a commit (check-in)?

Please refer to this documentation of the command specification:

Thanks! There is is! I'm not sure why I didn't see the manual. It doesn't
seem to be linked from your main page. What's the link for the root of that
documentation?

Okay, I finally see where that documentation comes from in the release stuff.
Looks like it is the only development document there, so there isn't a "root".

This document ties it together pretty well. Between that and the jcvsii source,
I think I can figure it out. It has been quite a struggle, though.

I apologize for the cryptic nature of some of the docs, and my lack of time to
correct the problem. I hope to devote more time to expending the docs on
www.jcvs.org, which is the best place to organize it all. I do hope things go
more smoothly for you now.
