Download binary file revisions  XML

Hi

I successfully view the content of different text file revisions.
For binary files I only see the revisions but no content. Also I cannot download
them.

What needs to be done for enabling the Servlet to download different binary file
revisions?

ok, I see that JCVSWeb is able to show/download different revisions of images. I
hope that workes for other binaries as well (doc, ppt, xls).

So I will need to upgrade from JCVSServlet to JCVSWeb.

Unfortunately I am still stuck with that "Project needs to be checked out" Error
in JCVSWeb.

How am I supposed to define the Workdir. "C:/temp" does not work.

I am not sure what you mean by "C:/temp" does not work.

As for "project must be checked out", you must define a view and checkout that
view. Then browsing will work.

I've got the same issue. I can see text files (actually see the content), but not binaries. I was hoping that with both text and binary that one could actually download the specific file instead of just view the text ones. Basically, I want to use jCVSWeb as a way for people without SmartCVS or WinCVS to download specific versions of files using their browser. The vast majority of these files are Word docs.

JCVSWeb attempts to make any file viewable, and this is the reason for the ability to define mimetypes in a project. To view a binary file, you must click on the file's icon on the left when a directory listing is displayed. As noted, the links work well for images and text, but need further work for other types.

The next release of JCVSWeb provides the ability to download any directory being displayed. I am working on the ability to download any file in its native form. In other words, you can download a Word document as-is. I will try to also work in the ability to view these files as well.

Suggestions on the UI, etc., are always welcome.
