I have installed jcvs on a Mac OSX. I am having trouble getting jCVS to open a
file from its list into TextEdit. When I double click, TextEdit is launched but
with the selected file in it (it is launched with an empty file titled
Untitled). I have set the verb command for .txt.open to
/Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit $FILE

Has anyone gotten the text editor to launch from the jcvs file list?

What happens if you try to launch the file by hand at the command prompt? The
reason I ask is because I don't know if the OSX apps still require the inane
MacOS launch mechanism, or if they use the command line arguments like a
standard unix os.

Also, is it possible that the $FILE var has incorrect path separators? I am not
sure that I get the OSX '/' separator correct, as opposed to the traditional ':'
separator.
