The post http://www.jcvs.org/jcvsforum/posts/list/999.page explains how to use the Win32Viewer. This requires that you turn on "Use JAF" in the preferences. You configure mailcap and let Win32Viewer open the document based on the Windows extension mappings.

Refer to post http://www.jcvs.org/jcvsforum/posts/list/900.page for some details about configuring the mailcap to drive msword documents. In that post, the document are opened with a HexCode Viewer. In your case, you want to use com.ice.

You can use the Verb Commands to drive command line invocations with variable substitution, if the application will read its command arguments. However, I don't think Word will do this.
